Is it possible to do Desktop publishing with inkscape?

Hi, I have got inkscape. I want to know if its possible to do desktop publishing with it?

Yes but it's not designed for publishing per se. Several things are flawed in this respect - it doesn't do multipage, doesn't have a good text handing system for larger texts, are 2 big problems if you're trying to use it for DTP.

I use Scribus if I need DTP layout tools - you can always have image placeholders for Inkscape images that will then be updated in your Scribus pages when you edit the Inkscape files.
