What is on the page when I print the image I've created is different from what's on my screen.

Asked by ObjectiveReality

I'm trying to create a bunch of circles with stuff in them (an svg image of my company's logo and some text) to make into badges. What I have on my screen looks right, but what prints is missing various parts, and has the text sqared off as though it was behind a frame or something. I can get a print that looks like the screen by using the bitmap backend, or exporting to bitmap, but the result is very pixelated and ugly.

I can send a copy of the svg file in question if that will help.

Could you try to save as pdf and see how it looks?
It's only a workaround, but if nothing else works...

I've exported it as a much higher quality bitmap and printed it by inserting it into an OpenOffice doc as a whole-page image. Prints fine that way. Any idea why Inkscape won't do it itself though?

Can you help with this problem?
