How to check installation/build number for 0.47pre4 on WinXP SP3?

Hi, I am new to Launchpad, did a search in earlier asked questions but was unable to locate an answer, so please be gentle :D

I am working with Inkscape for quite a while, and am currently working/testing 0.47pre4. I did install this version on WinXP SP3 over an existing Inkscape 0.47pre2. There were some issues during the install, and I found these were reported as bug already so did not have any further concerns there as Inkscape did start, and the about screeen shows it is version 0.47pre4.

However, I ran into another bug, which also has been reported before, but also was listed as fixed for version 0.47. I then had a closer look upon the executable to find an internal build number, but was unable to locate that. Also the executable has a build date of 12 October 2009, but displays 0.46.0.0 as main version number (upon inspection in "properties"). Is there any way to confirm the current version/build number of the installation?

I just discovered this about an hour ago while rebuilding Inkscape 0.47 final, as something where the version number hadn't been updated. Before 0.47 final where I've just fixed that, there is no way of discovering what version the executable is other than by the about screen which should have all the details you want. That one is always updated automatically.

JFTR - the revision number of Inkscape 0.47pre4 is 22446, and 0.47 has branched at revision 22576. So any bug fixes committed between these to revisions will be included in Inkscape 0.47.

Currently you can look up the revision numbers in the online SVN repository on sf.net:
branches: <http://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/inkscape/inkscape/branches/>
trunk: <http://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/inkscape/inkscape/>

(Note: this will soon change because after the release of 0.47 Inkscape will move the source code repository from svn on sf.net to bazaar on launchpad.net)
