Inkscape

download problems

Hello, I have been trying to download a more up to date version of Inkscape. I had the 0.46 and following on screen instructions I deleted it. Each time I download from either your site or another the installation fails. Either files are not available or there is something wrong with the validation. I have tried to download on 4 different occasions now, from three different sites. Using windows XP. Any ideas?

UPDATE.

I tried another download from Softonic which cost me $2.99. It seemed that the download was ok but I then got the following:

 installation aborted

setup was not completed successfully

cant write:C:\program Files\Inkscape\inkscape.org

UPDATE 2: Now I cant even download the earlier version 0.46 which I have been running happily for months

Hi Jaki,

I've successfully downloaded and installed Inkscape today.
Your problems could be due to a malfunctioning proxy. Did you change your ISP recently, or used an alternate proxy (that's the case if you install Ultrasurf, or that kind of software which allows you to bypass live streams limitations...)?
Could you also try to download with another web browser or (if you use Firefox) use it with another profile?

Thank you jazzyNico. I have since managed to install Inkscape and it is now running. I ran a search, found the document I wanted and clicked. It came up with an install screen so I went with it. Worked a treat.
