Add object selection in layer, in 0.47?

Has the roadmap changed for implementing the following in 0.47?

GUI effort:

    * Layer panel
          o Add object selection in layer(similar to adobe illustrator).

I'm salivating at the thought of this feature.

Feature freeze for 0.47 was declared some time ago in August (<http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.inkscape.devel/31050>). What you see in current prerelease builds is what will be in 0.47 + some late and critical bug fixes.
