I want to convert a .jpg file to use with a CraftRobo cutter

Asked by Anita Greening

I have a scanned black and white image in a .jpg file. I want to convert it to a file I can use with my CraftRobo cutter. I am very new to using Inkscape and cannot seem to find all of the information I need for the conversion. I would appreciate any help you can give or pointers you can give me to the manual or other information.

After playing around with the settings, I have been able to generate a preview of the scan. How to I work with that image. I cannot find instructions on how to save it or open it in a new file. Thanks.

Well.
If you're able to generate preview, then you need just press OK button.
The vector reflection of your JPG appear at the top of original image.
It could be not clearly seen however, so you need to move it somewhere
from original.
Then. I dunno what vector format is preferable for CraftRobo. But I
know, that Inkscape have export to DXF with Robo cutter support. So
you could try it.

Cheers, Oleg
