Change Fonts to Stencils

I want to make the fonts with the break in the letters to use them as a stencil, how do I go about doing that.

hi

the easiest solution could be to use ready fonts.
try for example dafont.com - here is some fonts, I've searched with a few
second. http://bit.ly/13LpKm

and another method - use regular fonts, but convert it to paths (Path ->
Object to path), then draw rectangle, copy, place them in the desired breaks
over letters, select all rectangles, convert it to paths and finally -
Difference. (Path -> Difference)

hard way, your choice :)
