import eps

Asked by Aaditi

I would like to import an eps image onto the canvas. I'm trying to make a 3' x 6' banner and want to make sure our logos don't come out hazy.

To import EPS files in Inkscape 0.46 you need to have 'pstoedit' installed.

How can I import a EPS file into Inkscape?

Inkscape 0.47 will use Ghostscript to import EPS files:
<http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ReleaseNotes047#PostScript_and_EPS_import>
<http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ#What_formats_can_Inkscape_import.2Fexport.3F>

If you tried and still can't open/import EPS files - could you provide more information about your OS and the inkscape version you have installed, and any error messages related to the import?
