how do you make duplicated lines that radiate from a central axis, that do not intersect at the central point?

Asked by denverpete

Is there a way to create duplicated lines that radiate from a central axis, that do not intersect at the central point?

Visualize a sphere with lines radiating out from it (like the sun).

I imagine you use tiling to do this but how do you put the lines radiating out from a central axis?

well.

1) draw the line.
2) replace it's center point at the distance, where you imagine central axis
3) Edit~>Clone~>Create Tiled Clones...
4) In the bottom of window - I use 24 rows and 1 column - so we have 24 rays
5) Symmetry --> P1 (Simple translation)
6) Shift --> ShiftY -100% per row, all others are 0%
7) Rotation --> Angle 15% per row (360/24 - my comment)
8) Create

that's my workaround
hope it will be usefull. Oleg
