Line How-to

Completely new to Inkscape. I used to play with Illustrator a few years back.

Been through the tutorials in the help menu and I found nowhere how to make a simple line horizontal or vertical. I certainly missed something.

Can you help me with this?

BTW I love inkscape and am sure I will use it a lot.

Hello Santang!

Press 'Ctrl' when you draw the line - then you will be able to draw perfect straight lines with precise angles.
Also you can use guidelines for drawing precise angled lines.
