Inkscape

I have Inkscape .46 and do not have a menu for pencil like this: http://andy.brisgeek.com/archives/92

Hello,

I have tried to folow this tutorial: http://andy.brisgeek.com/archives/92 and to make some neat drawings like shown there. The only problem is that when I select my pencil there is no menu to select spiro from. Do I need a addon or something or is it an installation problem? I have installed my Inkscape with sudo apt-get install inkscape and the version is .46.

You need 0.47 or at least a dev version, I'm using /Inkscape 0.47pre0 r21549, built Jun 12 2009/ in Kubuntu from the PPA repos (ppa.launchpad.net for jaunty).
