How join two endpaths from diferent objects to build 1 figure

I'm drawing a figure ("c" sign) from two diferent circle segments with bezier tool, so I need to join the endpath of the bigger circle segment with the endpath of the little circle segment . I was trying with different options of editing nodes but I can't select endpaths of different parts. I only can join endpaths of the same figure

The parts have to be parts of the same path. Select the separate paths and then Use Ctrl-K or Path > Combine. Once combined you can use the node tool and "Join selected endnodes ..." to join the path sections together.
