Tried of having to reopen dialogs on each start.

Asked by shanesemler

I'm tired of having to reopen all the dialogues I need in the sidebar each time I start Inkscape. Is there a way to make it remember which are open and open them when I start the application?

On a side note, why the heck isn't the text and font dialogue dockable?

Hi,

I'm afraid Inkscape can't remember open dialogs. A feature request has already been filled about it, but It won't be for the next release. The wishlist item is detailed here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/171579.

I don't know why the text and fonts dialog (and XML editor) can't be docked. Maybe it's too wide and would eat too much space?

Can you help with this problem?
