inkscape cannot launch in windows subsystem for linux

Asked by valley_qq

Hi all,

I have installed the windows subsystem for ubuntu, I am a bash user. Then I installed inkscape using "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:inkscape.dev/stable; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install inkscape". AFTER the installation, I found I could not launch inkscape, even I cannot check the version "inkscape --version". It always shows the error "Wrong __data_start/_end pair".

I have tried to fix it using "ulimit" command to set the stack size, it does not work. Right now I am so confusing. Does any one have the same problem?

No, I'm using Linux Mint (properly installed).

I don't suppose the subsystem is fully ready yet.

Why aren't you using one of the Windows packages, as you're already using Windows?
