Document Properties doesn't fit on screen

Asked by Facey Neck on 2020-05-11

It seems like this might not be a particularly common problem. I was only able to find one other mention on the whole of the English-language Internet search through duckduckgo.com

No matter what I do, I cannot get the _Document Properties_ window to fit on my screen. The bottom 10% or so is inaccessible to me; the area with anti-aliasing and border-color. I can't shove the window so that the top is off-screen to reach the bottom of the window either.

I'm on Arch Linux, using KDE Plasma. I've tried to force a window size setting in KDE without success.

I'd provide a photo of my screen, but I'm unfamiliar with launchpad, and I don't see an option to do so.

The only other thing I can think to do at this time is to try another Inkscape installation/package, perhaps from the AUR.

I'm trying to avoid needing to setup a virtual machine just to use a software that's native to Linux.

I think this is all the information I can provide at this time. I'll check back on this post tomorrow, see if there have been ideas, and/or requests for more information.

Thanks for your time, and I am sorry to be posting with an unfortunate bug. I like the software otherwise,

Facey

Hi - can you re-post your question at https://inkscape.org/report and also include info about the theme and Inkscape version as well as your screen size?

If possible, use at least Inkscape 0.92.5 for this, better would be to use 1.0.
