personalizing my own personal logo

I have my own logo, I imported it but I cannot edit my colors.
I paid for my customize logo through fiverr.com, its suppose to be transparent. When I import I cannot change or edit the colors.
The logo is good, I need to be able to change/edit colors

Check what type of content you have in the file by selecting it and looking into the status line at the bottom to see what object type it is. If it's a raster image, use a raster graphics editor like Gimp to edit it. If it's a group, ungroup before editing.
