Rotate Object short cut does not work with macOS 10.14

Asked by Sebastian Schumann

I need the short cut for rotating an object by single degrees. With this I would be able to configure a rotating knob on a special device to do this job.

I found the short cut "Alt + [" and "Alt + ]" on https://inkscape.org/doc/keys092.de.html#idm2137. But it does not work with my Inkscape 0.92 under mac OS 10.1. The option key seems fine. I am able to type those brackets in a text-window within inkscape.

However, this short cut is listet on the mentioned web site only. It is not shown in the short cut section of the preference panel in the app. There is "rotate by 90 degrees" only.

Can I configure my short cut some other way?

This version will not receive updates anymore for macOS. If you have confirmed that this is a problem for the latest development version (https://inkscape.org/release/master/), too, please open a bug report at https://inkscape.org/report .

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Sebastian Schumann for more information if necessary.
