Moving objects on multiple layers

I have a 4 layer drawing with object 'A' on layer 1, 'B' on layer 2 and 'C' on layer 3.

Apart from using Shift+Page Up on each object separately, can I move each object up one layer in one action? ie. I need object 'A' to be on layer 2, 'B' on layer 3 and 'C' on layer 4.

Obviously this is a simplified example to explain what I want to achieve when I might have multiple objects on each layer.

There is no such functionality in Inkscape. You can write an extension, use the objects dialog, or move each object separately.
