hidden polygons in image imported from stitchmaps.com

Asked by Harriet Burris

I use stitchmaps.com to create knitting patterns
The patterns are exportable to inkscape.
I intend to use inkscape to add color to individual 'stitches'.
In the image, each of the knitting symbols is surrounded by a white polygon.
I was able to make the polygons visible by filling the area with another color.
Is there a way to change the color of the polygons?

Probably. Can you try the various 'Select same' options in the right-click menu when one such polygon is selected?

When you have all of them selected, you can change their color all at once. You may also want to group them for further use, maybe.

Can you help with this problem?
