Inkscape GF3- adding dropshadows to text

Asked by kiffa

Hey guys!

I have Inkscape GF3 on my laptop now, & I was wondering how do I add a drop-shadow to text to give it contrast?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

1. duplicate your text
2. blur the duplicate you just created (Fill and strocke (Shift+Ctrl+F) > blur)
3. tweak the opacity if needed to lighten the shadow
4. send it under your text and place it as you like
