Swatch-How to Save?

I figured out how to enter colors into the swatch dialog but I can't figure out how to save a custom swatch. How do you do that?

I looked up color swatches in the Inkscape manual, but it does not seem to cover saving a swatch, but maybe I missed that.

If you mean a custom palette:

You can try "Save copy as..." filetype Gimp palette (.gpl) to the user profile.

You might need to use a text editor to put in the palette name.

These auto swatches are saved in the document itself. You can save the document and use it as a template, if you want to reuse the auto-swatch.

The other option Tyler Durden mentioned, saving as a gpl file, will save all colors in the document to a palette file that can be used for Inkscape, and also for gimp and other graphics programs.
