Input devices-Configuration file addressing input devices.

Can anyone tell me which file or files address input devices?

I have already gone through the Preferences.xml file line by line and could not find anything addressing input devices, so the setting that keeps me from editing the canvas has to be in another configuration file somewhere but I have no clue as to which file that may be.

Yes, it is preferences.xml. There is no other file. The right place is after

<group
     id="devices">

If no devices are registered with Inkscape, that part is empty (at least it is for me).

Can you help with this problem?
