Printer doesn't support linethickness

Asked by Roman Duenner

Hello all

Since I print from Incscape 0.92 to my laserengraver, the linethickness of geometric forms is very thin. No matter
which linethickness I set in inkscape, my laserengraver prints thin lines. Earlier I printet from CorelDRAW, which
supportes the linethickness correctly. Has Incscape any settings to fix that?

How are you transferring the data to your laser engraver? Which extension are you using for this?

The transfer is done by clicking the print button in Inkscape. The laser engraver is installed like a usual Printer. So the extension is the usual *.svg.

It's more probably postscript, which is the language that is used to communicate with a printer, as far as I know.

Do you still have Corel installed, and can export to postscript from Corel and from Inkscape, and then compare the files?
Could also be a printer driver setting...

However, I'm far from being an expert at this.

Maybe you could have more luck asking on the Inkscape user mailing list or in the cutting/plotting forum (also mention your OS and Inkscape version):
