Can you share a link, please, there exists multiple extensions of that kind in the world wide web.
Are there any instructions on that page?
Where do you get stuck?

Then try this:

1. To install a new extension, download and unpack the archive file.

Do you know how to do this?

2. Copy the files into the directory listed at Edit > Preferences > System: User extensions.

So, that means:
a. open Inkscape,
b. visit Edit > Preferences > System.
c. Copy the filesystem path at 'User extensions' to the clipboard
d. Open your file manager.
e. Paste the path there (read here about how to do that: https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#how-install-new-extensions-palettes-document-templates-symbol-sets-icon-sets-etc - the part with the * in front)
f. Copy (e.g. drag&drop) the unpacked files (the living_hinge .inx and the living_hinge.py file specifically) into the directory that is now open.

3. After a restart of Inkscape, the new extension will be available.

Hi Jeff,

I cannot see the error message here (see https://answers.launchpad.net/inkscape/+question/671338), because email attachments are not supported, so I do not know what the error says (yet).

Please share your screenshot here: https://framapic.org/

or

copy-paste the error message you get into your next reply.
