Then try this:
1. To install a new extension, download and unpack the archive file.
Do you know how to do this?
2. Copy the files into the directory listed at Edit > Preferences > System: User extensions.
So, that means:
a. open Inkscape,
b. visit Edit > Preferences > System.
c. Copy the filesystem path at 'User extensions' to the clipboard
d. Open your file manager.
e. Paste the path there (read here about how to do that: https:/
f. Copy (e.g. drag&drop) the unpacked files (the living_hinge .inx and the living_hinge.py file specifically) into the directory that is now open.
3. After a restart of Inkscape, the new extension will be available.
