Inkscape

Bezier tool imports an image

When I try to draw a straight line or any line for that matter the Bezier tool will import an image from a prior design. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking that's weird.

Are you pressing any keys when you use the tool? Is your mouse or keyboard broken? Do you see any weird behaviour in other programs? Are you using any unusual hardware, or a clipboard management program?

Can you describe exactly which steps you take and what happens?

Also, please let us know your operating system and version, Inkscape version (see Help > About), and if this is a new issue, or if it has never worked correctly for you before.

Hi thanks for the reply. I think the issue was because I copied a path to
my clipboard I deselected that and everything is back to normal. Thanks for
the reply!

Ah, I think I get now what the problem was.

For the Bézier tool, when the 'Shape' option (at the top) is set to 'From clipboard', it will bend the shape along the path you draw. So if you draw a straight line, it won't be bent.

Just make sure to select 'None' for the shape setting.

Yes I think that was the problem. It was driving me insane! Trial by error I suppose. Thanks for the feedback
