Rulers on Inkscape Canvas in Inches as Default

I use Inkscape to create copy for awards and all dimensions are in inches. I would like the canvas to reflect
inches instead of pixels or mm.

You can change the document's units in File > Document properties : first tab "Page", top right corner: Display units.
