Sizing art/images to the paper printing size

Hi. I have the images sized to 12 in width and 14 in length. It shows that this is their size but they do not print this size. They are either too big once printed and only print some of the image or they are entirely way too small on the printed sheet. I do not understand why they show the actual sizing right but they do not print the right size. Please help! Thank you!!

Can you upload an example file to some file hosting site, add a link to your upload to your next post, and tell us at which size you think it should print? Also please tell us your Inkscape version (Help > About), your operating system and your printer make/brand.
