Text Object Cannot be Seen When Opening the SVG File in a Browser

I create a text object such and save the file as SVG. When opening the file in a browser, nothing can be seen. But the text object can be seen when opening the same file using Inkscape. Any idea what may cause this problem?

I'd check that the text is within the page area.

I am pretty sure the text is within the page area. I even resize the page to the drawing (Ctrl+Shit+D > Custom Size > Resize Page to Content...).

I'd check the status bar after selecting the text... if it reports "Flowed text..." I'd use the Text menu to convert it to standard "Text".
