"Create circles, ellipses, and arcs"...old bug seems to be back, cannot use any "switch to...". Are these buttons broken again like from years ago? With or without ellipse none can be picked. Linux, 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11)

Using 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11), in Linux.

If I select "Create circles, ellipses, and arcs" I should then be able to choose between radio buttons:
1. "Switch to segment (closed shape with two radii)"
2. "Switch to arc (unclosed shape)"
3. "Make the shape a whole ellipse, not arc or segment"

None of those can be selected. I see some very old bug reports on this...is this back or is there some other reason I can't select among these? Actual behavior is to create an ellipse, but those buttons are forcibly and permanently set to only "Switch to segment" under all circumstances.

You need to draw something with the tool first, and only if the selected object is a segment or an arc, the buttons to make the ellipse whole again or to switch between segment and arc make any sense. Else they are grayed out, yes - because there's nothing to switch between or to make whole again.

I think it was always like that, at least for as long as I remember.

(how would Inkscape guess which angle you want?)

Can you help with this problem?
