If you want us to help, please:

- share a link to the file, which you have uploaded to a file hoster, e.g. dropbox or google drive
- let us know the full version name of Inkscape and of your operating system
- share a screenshot of your print settings (use an image hoster and post the link)
- make a photo of the printout and share that, too (use an image hoster and post the link)

DropBox link with info.

I have used the original resonant artwork for front panel silkscreens on instrument panels and it works just fine. However, when I incorporated it into the business card, it looks OK on the screen, but doesn't print correctly on my Epson printer. I figured it was a printer driver issue. But to confirm, I asked several friends to check it out. It seems to open correctly in Edge, but not Explorer or Corel Paintshop Pro 2018. My label company can use it just fine in AI. But it won't print correctly from Inkscape on my printer.

It seems more that this is an issue with the text that is being used in the printout, not with the position of the pink O.

See https://framadrop.org/r/pQtxzlnLcv#h54Jl5b2TVf+M16WgHQIMSUh4ZVnp7euUAENbJ29ojc= (image will delete itself after 7 days

The distances between the letters and the font sizes, and even the texts bottom left corners are different in the two jpgs and the scan you uploaded.

All those software programs seem to deal differently with the kerning.

As a workaround I'd suggest you convert the texts to path before printing or exporting to a different file format.

I don't know which of the software programs is right, and where the reason for the text printing differently might lie, and I also cannot test further, as the Proxima Nova font is not free.

If you want to help developers with fixing the problem, or at least locating it, please turn this into a bug report. Please attach all the files to it, and also make a screenshot of the print dialog before printing.

(the font is installed on the computer you printed from, right?)

Does it matter if it is embedded?

Not sure what you mean about 'embedded'.

It's the text that is off, not the letter O that you previously described as being 'embedded' (at least that's how I understood it). That letter is just a normal path, nothing 'embedded' about it.

If you refer to the text, then - no, Inkscape cannot embed fonts. Whenever you share an SVG file with text that hasn't been converted to a path with someone else, or when you open the text on a different computer, you need to also (tell them to) install the font.

Have you tried converting the text to path yet?
