How do I change the display settings for my high resolution computer?

Asked by Tori

Program (Inkscape & others) launches with all commands, menus, etc. displaying so tiny that I cannot use the program. My computer's native resolution is 3840 x 2160..... I've tried going into properties, but that's never displayed properly. Am at a loss....

You can increase the icon sizes in the preferences:

Edit > Preferences > Interface

and the size of the palette fields can be changed when you change the size and width options in the menu that appears when you click on the tiny triangle at the right of the palette.

If this isn't sufficient, you'll need to wait for the next major Inkscape version, which was formerly supposed to be called 0.93, but will now be called 1.0 alpha (or similar), and which will very much still be a work in progress when it is published.

Can you help with this problem?
