Can you type x,y coordinates for a selection?

Asked by Anthony Scoffler

Is it possible to directly type in the x,y coords for a selection in Inkscape? I cannot find this information on Google. Please respond with how and where to type x,y coords for a selection, or say it's not possible and consider the below text as I believe it's a crucial feature.

* Use case
Object snapping is not enough to align complicated vectors, and this feature would speed up development of more simple ones.

* Possible implementation
Use the top-left corner of the selection's bounding box to determine the x,y coordinates on the page.

Switch to selector tool, enter X and Y coordinate into the corresponding fields in the tool controls bar at the top.
