PDF loading fast wont convert to DXF

When I load a PDF file it will take a minutes to load. I can see the image in Inkscape and it converts to DXF file with no problems.

I have some PDF files that load in a split second and I can see the image in Inkscape. These files say they transfer to DXF but when I open them there is nothing there. Hows do I resolve this issue?
