Do you want to measure the length of a path?

If so, select it, then go to Extensions > Visualize path > Measure path.

Else please use some more words to describe your problem.

Thank you for responding to my question.
Not in one line, but when designing eg. a duck, in a linear, this perimeter line, I can see how many millimeters it is

google translate.
Thank you.

There's no way to do that in one go, unless you make a copy and connect all ends to one another, so it's one single line.

There are ways to make that easier, though, like using boolean operations.

Or you can measure the all the single lines (this can be done in one go with the extension), then add them up using a calculator.

Or do you only want to know the width/height of the selected object... ? Probably not, but just in case: select it with the Selector tool, then look into the toolbar at the top.
