Can I warp text like this? (Read description. )

Asked by Zech on 2018-01-22

Okay I know you can convert text to an object. But here's how I want to warp it:

we all know when you click an object it's presented in a box,

So I click the text and the box appears with the 8 scale arrows↔
So the text inside the box matches the shape of the box.6
What if I could edit the nodes of that box and make it the shape of a diamond.
So if the box is now a diamond. The text is the shape of a diamond.
Because the object matches the shape of box.

That there! Is what I wanted to do, edit nodes of the whole text instead of editing nodes of each character after character.

Not always so easy...

Check the envelope path effects and extensions.

Node editing is most often the way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywInKVezX6o

Okay I got it. But I wish there was an easier way.
