How Do I "Export - Save for Web" ?

Asked by Michael Aschenbrenner on 2018-01-13

Hello,

I have about a month left in my Adobe subscription, and I came across Inkscape as a FREE alternative. The most frequent action I do in Illustrator is Export - Save for Web and use the settings JPG preset and remove the Progressive option. Is there an equivalent action in Inkscape?

Thanks in advance,

-Mike

Inkscape exports PNG files. Menu: File>Export PNG Image.

PNG may be a better choice for your web projects:

You can also convert PNG to JPG with GIMP, a FOSS (free open source software) alternative to Photoshop.
https://www.gimp.org/
Gimp has a save-for web plugin:

With Inkscape and GIMP, I personally have not needed Illustrator nor Photoshop for over a decade.

Can you help with this problem?
