How can I put text into the edge of a circle?

How can I link afterwards text and the circle to each other?

You can learn more about Text along Path here: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Text-Path.html

Thanks for your response.

can someone explain to me how text IN the thick line of a circle can be put?
not on the outside,
and not on the inside.
Well in the thick line of a circle itself.

Make a second circle. Make it smaller. Put text on it. Make it transparent.

Or convert circle to path. Do Path -> Reverse. Put text on it.

Or select text, put text cursor in front. Use Alt + Arrow keys to move text horizontally/vertically.

(i.e. needs to be done manually, no such function in Inkscape)

Can you help with this problem?
