fail to start windows 10/64-bit

Windows 10, 64-bit, Inkscape 0.92.2

download inkscape-0.92.2-x64.exe, installation appears to work and shortcuts created. Attempting to start program creates the loading icon that disappear after 10 seconds. No Application Error message.

There are a couple of possibilities.... Most of them have to do with fonts:

1. Inkscape takes longer when you start it for the first time, because it scans all your installed fonts
2. Inkscape 0.92.2 crashes due to trying to load a font that it cannot deal with.
3. There is something in your 'recent files' list that lets Inkscape crash (file names with unusual letters in them)

If it's 1., you just need to be patient.

For 2 and 3, you could try if the latest (un-released) Inkscape version from the stable branch will start up (remove the previous version completely first), it contains a lot of bugfixes. You can find the (currently) latest build for Windows, 64bit here:
