how to save a clipped image of inkscape as a normal picture which can be viewd in windows photo viewer

1. I have clipped a photo and removed its background using inkscapebut this picture cannot be viewed in windows photo viewer. how can i open it there?
2. how to trace the clipped photo in inkscape?

1. You can export the picture to PNG by going to File -> Export PNG Image. The dialog looks a little different now, but the steps are still the same as here:

Or you can use a more suitable program that can also view SVG files...

2. You can't. Inkscape's tracer is going to ignore the clip, it always traces the full raster image. So you:

- either need to clip the photo, export a PNG image of that, then re-import that PNG image into Inkscape and trace it
- or, better: edit the photo in a suitable application for editing photos (e.g. Gimp or Photoshop), and then import into Inkscape.
