how do I identify a font already placed and saved

How do i identify a font that i already saved. I want to use the same font but don't remember the name and there is no where on inkscape that tells you what the font is that is already open after saving

Click on the object and use the text tool, the Text and Font dialog or the XML editor to identify the font you have used. Or, when using the selector tool, look into the status bar.

If you have converted the text to path, then only the XML editor option will work.
