node path

I am vectizing scaned png files for laser cutting model ship parts. when I do this, it creates two lines very closed together. this causes the laser to go over both lines. How can I eliminate one line? Both lines are connected together at stopping points.

Larry, you need to learn how to use the node tool for editing paths.

You could use any tutorial to learn more, or you can start in this manual (Work in progress):
