way to not scale brush strokes with zoom? i.e. absolute width

Asked by Marcel Partap

Is there a way to not scale brush strokes with zoom, i.e. use an absolute stroke width so one can work at different zoom levels with same brush appearance ? : )

Oh I found it by accident... The 'Calligraphy' tool settings (=> left- or right-click on the fill/stroke section on the right side of the toolbar) has a "Width is in absolute units" checkbox.
I think this deserves its own button on the toolbar.

Yes, that's the correct option for the calligraphy tool. From your question, I'd probably never have guessed that you were asking about that tool... Glad you found it out yourself!
