Extra Cut Lines added all of a sudden?

Asked by MeuCow

This is so weird...
this just started happening....

When I take a jpeg image into InkScape, make bitmap copy, outline, then trace....boom, I get a 'cut line' so that when I do bring it into SCAL (sure-cuts-a-lot program)...it cuts through an image. Do you have any idea why this would be happening? I converted a jpeg yesterday (Monday) with Inkscape and no problem. I just did it today and it's adding these extra lines.

I have a screen grab of the jpeg file - shows cut lines at the bottom of the image.I also have the svg file which when you go to outline and show the nodes; it shows a cutline (that is NOT supposed to be part of the image).
I'm so confused.

Thank you your help - SO Greatly appreciated!

that might be a bug, try a development version of Inkscape to see if it solves it, you can download it here:
http://inkscape.modevia.com/win32/?M=D
(look for the most recent date ending with .7z)

you'll need 7zip to decompress it:

Can you help with this problem?
