Asked by ingvarai

I do not se the Adobe Illustrator file format (*.ai) as an option when invoking "Save as".

install uniconvertor, then the .ai option will be in "save as"

I have installed Uniconvertor together with the latest version of Inkscape, and I have no possibility of saving vector files as AI. There is also no chance to save files as layered PDF or layered EPS which are required by clients. EPS and PDF files created with Inkscape are of very poor quality ( visible rasterization, no support for transparency, blur, shadow, etc. ). The only way of saving files as AI is to switch back to Adobe Illustrator - UNFORTUNATELY :(((, which is not an option for Ubuntu users.

Uniconverter page says "Adobe Illustrator up to 9 ver. (AI postscript based)"
Wasn't version 9 around like 15 years ago?

Can you help with this problem?
