Can i simply stroke the outline in outline mode

Asked by Jeanette Monachello

I traced my bitmap image and it came out great.
I am viewing the image in outline mode, which shows the outer and inner borders of my image.
Is it possible to select the outer outline when in outline view and stroke it?
(and also select inner outlines in outline view and stroke them?

Hi Jeanette,

yes. It's possible to select objects and set a stroke for them, no matter which view mode you're in.
However, in outline view mode, stroke and fill are not displayed, just the bare path. So you can add a stroke, but you won't see it until you switch back to normal mode.

As for selecting, sure, that's possible, too. I'd suggest using the node tool for selecting in this case.

Kind Regards,
 Maren
