How to copy object properties.

Asked by Doucer

I create an object and the set it's fill and stroke properties. I then create more objects of a similar type and I want to copy the properties from the first on to the others. In CorelDraw you simply right-clicked the object and selected 'Copy Properties'. What is the equivalent command for Inkscape? I have been all through the menus, no luck. Please help. It seems to me it has to be there. This amazing program does everything else CorelDraw does.

You can try left-click the object to select it. Then Ctrl-C to copy it. Then left-click other object, then use Edit > Paste Style (Ctrl-Shift-V). If this doesn't copy across what you're after then maybe try duplication the original item (Ctrl-D) and then modifying the duplicates to be the shape you need.

Yes! This solved it. Thank you very much. I understand that there may be certain limitations between different types of objects but there is in CorelDraw as well. This seems to be every bit as functional as Corel is. Great job. Thanks.
