change right click pop up menu items

hi
for laser cutting purpose I need to add some info to the Layer Name, is the there anyway to add some item in right click popup menu such as "Set Layer Property" (when a patch selected) and in that events a windows appear which have couple of text box for changing the layer name to designated name?

The layer name can be changed by double-clicking on the layer in the Layers Panel.

Do you need something different?

thanks @TylerDurden, I know that , but I need to attached my specific handler in right click menu, is there any way to attach specific item in right click menu to the designated handler in extension ?
