Please tell how to reset to all default settings and preferences

I want to reset all default settings and preferences. How do I do that?

I'd try re-naming the preferences file to preferences.xml_old, and restart Inkscape. A new preferences.xml file should be created with default values.

The file location on your computer can be seen in the preferences panel Menu: Edit>Preferences>System (Ctrl+Shift+P).

(You will need to navigate to the file itself , do not change the file name in the preferences panel.)
