Drawing circle no longer working

Asked by Karen Kokubun

I used to be able to simply left-mouse drag a simple circle to the desired size and select the fill and stroke color - but I can no longer do that. Now when I try to draw a circle, as soon as I do a left-mouse drag, it appears as a huge image with thick border and two tiny squares and a tiny circle in the middle. I even removed the Inkscape app (had .91), downloaded the current stable version (.92.1) and it is still doing the same thing (huge border image with tiny square and circle in the middle. Outline mode is not on. Any suggestion most welcome

Hi Karen,

I think this is for you:

Also, make sure that your circle's angle is larger than 0 (look into the tool controls bar to set numeric values, or reset the circle to 'full circle' by using the rightmost button.

Kind Regards,
 Maren

Hi Maren,

That helps. I also found that I had accidently set the stroke to a high number, which made the image ridiculously marge.

Thanks,
Karen
