Removing Text from the Vector

Asked by SUYODHAN REDDY TALAKANTI on 2017-04-19

First of all appreciate previous posts which enabled me to come this far.

Now after loading EPS File into Inkspace, i am finding it difficult to edit or remove the text. I cannot select complete text in single go, it is allowing me select each character one by one.
Below link will help you understand my concern.

Hi SUYODHAN REDDY TALAKANTI,

I think there's nothing that can be done to make the texts editable, aside from typing the texts yourself. The letters are all paths, not part of any text. The issue is with the eps file itself, which does not contain any text, not with Inkscape.

You can select multiple letters at once by click-dragging with the mouse:

- Drag a box from outside the drawing, to not move any objects when clicking (first selection in gif)
- Hold down Alt to use touch selection (which produces the red line in the gif)
- Hold down Shift so you can drag a selection box without moving objects below the mouse cursor (rhird selection in gif)
